Gordon Ramsey - Secrets (2003)

Suitable for: someone wanting to discover new  techniques and ideas. 

William Curley - Couture Chocolate (2011)

Suitable for: chocoholics and those who want to try some more complicated cooking methods such as tempering.

Marcus Wareing - How To Cook The Perfect... (2007)

Suitable for: learning the basics and, if not getting it right first time, fixing it the second time!

Daniel Humm - Eleven Madison Park (2011)

Suitable for: some serious expertise. This books comes from the creator of one the best restaurants in the world so requires some skill... up for a challenge?
