The Glasshouse at The Birch Tree Inn

One of the things that makes The Glasshouse at The Birch Tree Inn so special is how the views, the intimate feel of the restaurant, and the stunning decor combine to make it an Eden set into the heart of the countryside.

With a small, carefully crafted menu relying on local suppliers and in-seasons foods, The Glass House pride themselves on the experience and creativity of their chefs. They have something for everyone, so if you're vegan or have an intolerance, you'll find something on the menu for you.

So called for both its proximity to Glasshouses, and the huge glass doors that open onto the terrace (ideal for a jug of Pimms in Summer), The Glasshouse does outdoor dining when the weather allows. The bar and the terrace are dog friendly, so if you're out on a walk and want a tipple, you can pop in and for drinks and food in the bar - plus a biscuit for your four-legged friend.

The decoration has been beautiful chosen by the mother-daughter duo Marie and Melissa, who are part of the family who run not only the restaurant, but the bar and the adjoining holiday lets too. Walking through the archway into the dining area, the foliage, fairy lights, and enormous wooden mirror are sure to impress.

The Glasshouse can also provide a venue and bespoke menu for your event, holding up to 36 people for birthdays, small weddings and other special occasions.

Ben Franklin from Stray FM went to hear about all that's on offer at The Birch Tree Inn, talking with Marie and Melissa about all the charming restaurant has to offer:
