South American flavours from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Peru and beyond have been stunning Harrogate customers thanks to an exciting new food and drink menu at Las  Iguanas. 

From dishes that were born in Latin mountain ranges, to cocktails you'd find at Brazilian street carnivals, diners of Harrogate and surrounding areas have been enjoying the traditional flavours  and atmosphere is Las Iguanas on John Street (A.K.A. Bar Street).

During the launch of the new menu recently, Stray FM's Food and Drink Show went to find out more about not only the food on offer, but also the extra-curricular cocktail offerings, as you can see from the video of Beth Parsons below when she got involved with mixing her own caipirinha.

The new menu South American menu at Las Iguanas in Harrogate is teaming with flavour, and if you're anything like us, deciding what to order could get tricky! So we've put together a recommendation from each corner of the continent...

GalinhadaA delicately spiced rice dish cooked with chicken thigh & breast, with crispy chicken skin & okra. Served with a rich chicken jus. BRAZIL.

Burritos - Wheat tortilla stuffed with chipotle rice, refried beans, crunchy slaw & cheese with salad, soured cream, guacamole & roasted tomato salsa on the side. Choose: Sweet potato, butternut squash & chickpea chilli, Smoked chipotle chicken, OR Shredded beef braised in chipotle. MEXICO.

Black Bean and Beetroot BurgerBlack bean & beetroot burger with melted Emmental in a toasted brioche bun, smothered in a creamy tomato & gherkin sauce. With beef tomato & baby gem, creamy slaw & a choice of fries or salad. ARGENTINA.

Havana Club & Jerk BBQ Pork Ribs Whole rack of fall off the bone pork ribs covered in a sticky rum glaze, topped with crispy onion & chilli, served with slaw & a choice of fries or salad. PERU AND BEYOND.
