A change in season means a change in menu at The Coniston Hotel, home to Macleods Restaurant. So what can you expect food-and-drink-wise from the Spring / Summer offerings?

Known for its luxury spa, outdoor adventures and rolling hill views, The Coniston Hotel and Country Estate is by no means a stranger to good food and drink.

But as the seasons change, so do the menus, and at one restaurant in particular the flavours on offer have been going down a storm.

Spring and Summer Menu at Macleods Restaurant, The Coniston Hotel

The new menu at Macleods restaurant, one of three places to eat at The Coniston Hotel, has been largely the responsibility of executive chef Simon Bolsover.

food dish from Macleods restaurant at The Coniston

From slow cooked egg, with English asparagus, brioche soldiers and watercress paired with a cool glass of Sancerre...

To Holme Farm Venison, white polenta, chimmi churri and parmesan with a smooth glass of red Nebiollo...

The new menu comes complete with a suggested wine pairing and a cheese trolley for afters.
