Shakshuka for breakfast at Alexander's

This traditional middle-Eastern and Turkish dish, contains eggs, tomatoes, chili peppers and a range of spices.

The shakshuka (often spelt shakshouka) served at Alexander's is giving customers a new option at breakfast time, and has been very popular ever since the restaurant first opened in 2017.

Gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians, this modern twist on the dish includes sourdough toast, duck eggs and yogurt with harissa.

Eggs Benedict vs Eggs Royale

Another popular breakfast choice, the famous Eggs Benedict was first eaten in the late 1800s, and has stood the test of time ever since then.

But variations on the dish has resulted in a whole array of options for the poached egg and hollandaise dish.

Replacing the traditional choice of ham between the egg and the muffin with smoked salmon, is called Eggs Royale

And, as the poll from Alexander's on Facebook suggests, it's a close call when it comes to the favourite!
