Yorkshire Cancer Research is urging supporters to do something festive and help save lives.

The charity has launched a fundraising campaign called 'Festive Friday', which will take place on 11 December.

Money could be collected through any activity, from organising a Christmas bake-off competition to wearing a pair of reindeer antlers to the office or giving a donation in lieu of Christmas cards.

Patsy Robertshaw, Partnerships and Events Manager at Yorkshire Cancer Research, said: "Festive Friday is all about raising money while having fun with your friends, family or colleagues.

"As well as raising vital funds, we're hoping everyone will share what they get up to on social media and help spread the word about the work we're doing to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer more effectively in Yorkshire."
