Harrogate health services up for discussion

Published at 4:40pm 4th February 2016.

People in Harrogate are getting the chance to ask questions about local health services.

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is holding its next quarterly public meeting of the Council of Governors at St Aidan's High School on Saturday.

Topics being discussed include volunteering and education, patient and public involvement and patient safety visits to clinical areas.

Chairman Sandra Dodson said: "We would be delighted to welcome members of the public to our quarterly Council of Governors meeting to see presentations from the Governors and senior Trust executives.

"There is also the opportunity to ask questions about aspects of the Trust's forward strategy, quality of service and operational performance.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for members of the public to come along and ask questions about any service that we provide, either in the hospital or the community.

"Our Governors represent the interests of the Trust members and the general public we serve and this public meeting provides the opportunity to see them in action and engage with them both formally and informally."

Questions can be sent in advance by e-mail to nhsfoundationtrust@hdft.nhs.uk or by calling the Foundation Trust Office on 01423 554489.

They can also be tabled to the Chairman at the beginning of the meeting or during the break.

The meeting is being held in The Hatcher Room, next to Constance Green Hall, and will start at 10.45am.
