Fancy something a little different for Christmas? For those who like to eat well, vegans, vegetarians or those with special dietary requirements, the traditional festive roast with turkey and all the trimmings is either a no-go or is something you'll be fed up of by mid-December. So we've found a Christmas menu with a difference.

Filmore and Union launch their 2017 festive menu on 14th November. Developed by the chefs, it will feature dishes such as...

  • Lavender queen scallops with crab blinis, nori crisps and mango fennel dressing
  • Vegan truffle mushroom carpaccio with black vinegar lentils, kale and hemp pesto
  • Cacao steak with warm winter salad, celeriac and potato fries
  • Vegan Jerusalem artichoke with edamame five grain risotto with dulce and tarragon oil
  • Miso chicken supreme with hibiscus roasted cauliflower, sweet potato and kale crisps
  • Vegan matcha creme brulee with a cardamon biscuit

And it doesn't all happen by accident - a research trip to New York recently helped inspire the flavours.

Filmore and Union have restaurants all over the North, including WetherbyHarrogate, Skipton and Ilkley and Beth Parsons talked to Founder Adele Ashley and Development Chef Annabelle about the new Christmas menu at Filmore and Union.
