Harrogate man's 12 marathons of Christmas challenge

A Harrogate man is partaking in his very own '12 Days of Christmas Challenge', where he will be running a marathon on a treadmill everyday for twelve days.

Yorkshire Cancer Research

Paul Ward has set himself a target of raising £20,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

It comes after Paul lost his Dad to lung cancer a few years ago.

Since then, he has been determined to raise as much money as he can for the charity who helped his Dad before he passed away.

Marathon Des Sables

Paul is running the Marathon Des Sables next April.

He wants to train and raise money at the same time, prior to this ultimate challenge.

'12 Days of Christmas Challenge'

Paul has set out to do a number of challenges before the Marathon Des Sables, including his '12 Days of Christmas Challenge'.

He has organised to set up a treadmill at various locations, mainly in Yorkshire, so he can challenge himself into running a marathon a day for twelve days.

Here's where Paul will be from the 12th December 2017:

12th - Knox Arms, Harrogate
13th - Mother in Laws (Cakes for Commandos)
14th - Bristol Street Motors, Knaresborough
15th - G H Brooks, Harrogate
16th - Stecca No6, Harrogate
17th - York Station
18th - Beckwith Health Club, Harrogate
19th - Gambaru, Harrogate
