If you find yourself squinting at oncoming traffic at night, or struggling to read your dashboard in the dark, you might feel like your confidence to drive at night has been knocked.

Everybody is affected by glare, so you might have assumed that it's as bad for you as everyone else. But if you find yourself squinting, struggling to focus, or losing some peripheral vision, you might feel like staying at home once it's gotten dark.

You might even already wear glasses. If so, you've probably decided that your vision is as good as it's going to get. However, it isn't just the strength of the lens but the coating that can help with glare issues when driving at night. Reducing glare means better visibility, less squinting, and a safer, more comfortable drive.

To hear more about DriveSafe lenses, and how the right eye wear can help restore your night driving confidence, Stray FM's Ben Franklin went to talk to John at local optometrist Christopher Nixon.
