The player development centre at Harrogate Town Football Club could see Yorkshire youngsters heading to sports stardom.

Whether you're playing in the 2018 Summer league along with a whole range of local youth football teams including Scotton Scorchers, Pannal Sports and Green Hammerton, or fancy becoming part of the player development centre, you're odds are up if you're getting the support of Harrogate Town FC.

As happened with eleven year old Ruby Gibbs, your son or daughter could be one step away from taking football to the next level

Ruby has just accepted a new position at York City following regional talent trials, and as Harrogate Town Commercial Director Ged Maloney explains "We knew the first time we saw her that she had talent, and I'm pleased to say she progressed through our player development centres... she plays above her age."

And for those who are looking to getting back into those little football boots over the long Summer holidays, how about getting involved with the Harrogate Town Summer camps!

Taking place week commencing 23rd July, 6th August and 20th August, it's available for boys and girls aged 6 - 15.

Beth Parsons talked to Commercial Director of Harrogate Town Ged Maloney and a range of children taking part in the Summer league on Stray FM's Family Show.
