What do United Response in Harrogate do?

The Harrogate branch of United Response is located on Highgate Park and is home to four people who are supported 24 hours by an experienced team of people.

From the day to day routine of cooking, cleaning, and socialising, to exciting day trips and part-time jobs, United Response play a crucial role in the lives of their residents.

"It's their own home, so it's four young people sharing a house with support round the clock enabling them to do what they want to do in the community and help at home around the house. It's quite a busy house even though there's only four people that live here!"

Could you help United Response in Harrogate?

An ongoing garden project at United Repsonse is a key area the team would really love some help with. Desperately in need of renovation, the outdoor area requires improvement to make it more wheelchair accessible with better sheltered areas and some suitable outdoor activities

Perhaps you could organise a team day to help with some of the work needed?

Perhaps you could provide materials or labour?

Perhaps you could fund raise?

If you can help, please get in touch with Susie Harrison at United Response in Harrogate on 07528 930772 or 01423 867 109.

United Response is also always looking for volunteers and staff who can spare some time to befriend any of the residents, particularly if your hobbies and interests include football, cricket, photography or shopping!
