The Vet Hospital Promoted by
The Vet Hospital

Every year thousands of pets go missing and many are never reunited with their owners - microchipping could help change that.

June is National Microchipping month and the Vet Hospital think it's time to encourage all pet owners to think about getting their furry friends sorted out! It's actually a legal requirement for dogs to be chipped before they're 8 weeks old and you can be fined up to £500 if you don't comply, but is also highly recommended for cats and rabbits. It takes just seconds to identify an animal with their unique chip code which is then linked to your details so that you can be reunited.

Beth Parsons went to the Vet Hospital in Harrogate to talk to Bob Partridge about micro chipping.
