With just days until the cycling gets underway, a special Stray FM Podcast will take you through everything you need to know about the UCI Road World Championship cycling

Hosted by Pete Egerton and Tom Harland this 90 minute guide to the big event covers everything from road closures to volunteering and a guide to the racing itself.

Whether you're disrupted by the event, excited by it or confused about what exactly it is, the podcast aims to answer questions, point you in the right direction of information and hopefully raise a smile or two.

The guest list features:

  • Linda Bradley, Minister of Fun for Cedar Court Hotels
  • Abi Smith, Great Britain Junior road cyclist and student at Ripon Grammar School
  • Dave Burns, Harrogate resident and junior cycling instructor
  • Ned Boulting, TV cycling commentator
  • Elizabeth Murphy, Harrogate BID Manager
  • Stuart Martin, Mayor of the Harrogate District and Ripon resident
  • Hollie Burgin, Volunteer from Skipton
  • Don Mackenzie, North Yorkshire County Counciller
  • Andy Hindley, Yorkshire 2019 CEO

In the show Pete and Tom put your questions to the man in charge of transport and highways from North Yorkshire County Council, find out why the event is such a big deal with cycling expert Ned Boulting and find out what you can join in with in both Ripon and Harrogate.

And a whole ton of other things.
