A TV show will feature Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal tonight.

The National Trust property, near Ripon, will feature in the final episode of Channel 5's Secrets of the National Trust.

The series, which started on 7 February, celebrates the estates, historic houses, countryside and coastline in the care of the conservation charity.

Producers say in the closing 60-minute episode, host Alan Titchmarsh will uncover the hidden stories of the World Heritage Site and find out more about the Trust’s work to restore and take care of it.

Drones have been used to film a rare perspective of the ancient ruins.

Daniel Dodd, Communications and Content Director at the National Trust, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Channel 5 on this series. As an independent conservation charity, our purpose is to look after the nation’s beautiful and historic places so that everyone can enjoy them. This series brings these places and our work to life."

Daniela Neumann, Spun Gold TV’s Creative Director, added: "The National Trust is part of our British heritage. The work they do in preserving our history and keeping Britain beautiful is invaluable. This landmark series celebrates the people, places and stories that make us who we are."
