Ripon Cathedral welcomed the crowds on Saturday for its first Food, Home and Garden Show.

More than 1,000 visitors were treated to local produce, gardening and cookery demonstrations, special photo opportunities with birds of prey from Thorp Perrow Arboretum, face painting and a selection of home and gardening treats.

Stephanie Moon, Consultant Chef at Rudding Park, and Simon Crannage, Executive Head Chef at Swinton Park, wowed audiences with live cooking and tasters to sample.

Celebrity gardener Martin Fish also offered his wealth of knowledge to visitors who also had the chance to ask questions.

Over £6,000 was raised at the event, which will go towards the development of Ripon Cathedral.

Next year's Food, Home and Garden Show will be held on Saturday 14 April.
