WATCH: How to talk to your kids about drugs

How do you sit down with your kids and talk about drugs?

It's certainly not the easiest subject to talk about, especially with your own children. 

Paul North has worked in drug treatment services in North Yorkshire for the last 9 years, 5 of which were in Harrogate. 

He now represents a think tank called Volteface, which has just released some research into cannabis use amongst young people. 

The organisation says in a survey of 15 to 17-year-olds, many said they found it easier to get cannabis than alcohol.

Volteface also claims many of the young people were unaware of the effect the drug can have on mental health.  

Paul says it's vital parents have clear and honest conversations with teenagers about the drug.
