Olympic silver medallist Laura Robson has been unveiled as one of four women's main draw wildcard entries for this week's Aegon Ilkley Trophy.

The 23 year old lost yesterday's women's doubles final at the Nottingham Open alongside partner Jocelyn Rae.

She's now set to appear at Ilkley later this week.

The other wildcards entires are Gabi Taylor, Freya Christie and Harriet Dart.

Yesterday's sunshine brought a packed crowd to Ilkley for the ladies qualifying.

Alicia Barnett beat fellow Brit Francesca Jones 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 on court 1, while Laura Deigman was beaten 6-4, 6-1 by Italian Jasmine Paolini.

A centre court thriller saw Ricardas Berankis beat Marc Polmans 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, while in the women’s qualifying Canadian Francoise Abanda was just too strong for Britain’s Eden Silva, beating her 7-5, 6-2.

Action continues on day three with the qualifying rounds.
