New mothers in Harrogate who are feeling lonely are being encouraged to join a running group.

Sam Barlow set up Fitmums and Friends after she experienced loneliness after giving birth.

She wants to help others in her position and thinks that many women experience the same feelings she had:

The new group in Harrogate is looking for volunteers and Sam says it can be rewarding for those who volunteer:

The group meets at 7pm on Monday at North Yorkshire Sport Offices, Ainsty Road, Harrogate, HG1 4AP.
