Climber injured in fall on Ilkley Moor

A climber has been injured on Ilkley Moor after falling the equivalent height of nearly two double decker buses.

The 58 year old man was attended to by paramedics and members of the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association yesterday.

It is understood the height of the fall was around 8 metres.

The man suffered lower leg injuries.

He was stretchered to an ambulance, then taken to hospital.
