Ilkley’s chocolate brownie bakery, Love Brownies, have celebrated a milestone anniversary.

Love Brownies is owned by husband and wife Lee and Chantal Teal.

They were predominantly online before taking the plunge and opening a shop in their home town, Ilkley.

Love Brownies were shortlisted for Best New Business Award having launched the shop side of the business just a year ago.

This week, they have attended a ceremony in Mayfair at the Quality Food Awards which had over 2000 entrants in total.

Love Brownies were nominated for the Small Producers Award, and out of 14 shortlisted, they were announced winners.

Chantal Teal, who is Head Baker at Love Brownies said: “It’s been a whirlwind first year in the bakery, and we knew we wanted to host a little party for our customers to celebrate with us.

"It was an intimate event, one that everyone enjoyed.

"Love Brownies is our baby and I’m thrilled that others love it too”.

Husband and co-owner Lee Teal said: “An evening filled with brownies, hot chocolate and lots of guests was exactly what we had envisaged for our first anniversary for Love Brownies.

"Our first year in our home town of Ilkley has been exceptionally rewarding and we hope to be in the town for many more years to come.”

In September, they were also shortlisted with another two companies in the Bradford Means Business Awards as well as being awarded 1 star for their New Wild Mint Brownie at the Great Taste Awards.

Broken, but only once so let me off
