Harrogate's Miss Mollies needs your donations

rescue dog being comforted by people

Harrogate's Miss Mollies Dog Rescue are in need of more donations for their annual auction.

Miss Mollies is a non-profit, volunteer-led dog rescue based in Harrogate.

This month, every year, for the past three years, they have held an online auction to raise money for their dogs.

Members of the public list items online for people to bid on, and the highest bidder wins at the end of November.

It's all to initially raise money for the vet and kennel fees they pay for.

However, the hope for the future is to be able to afford a plot of land in which they can open their own dog rescue centre on.

At the minute, they pay for their rescue dogs to be held at local dog kennels.

Administrator Deb Greig says it's sometimes difficult:

They want to create a better world for homeless pets.

It's hoped that with the success of the auction and future events, they can aim to develop a network of supporters and volunteers, and hopefully one day a rescue home for their dogs.
