LISTEN: Ripon author writes anti-bullying books for schools

Anti-bullying books monica gabb, ripon

1:15am 18th November 2017

An author from Ripon is trying to get 1000 of her anti-bullying books into as many schools as possible.

Monica Gabb, who works as a teacher, has set up a crowdfunding page to help get her books into local schools during anti-bullying month.

She wants to encourage children to talk about their experiences to eliminate bullying.

Monica's book is called 'Words Don't Hurt'.

It tells the story of bullying from the victim's point of view.

Here's a short teaser:

This all comes as a new poll by the Anti-Bullying Alliance shows children in England worry about being seen as 'different'.

40% of children polled said they would hide aspects of themselves for fear of being bullied.

Help Monica reach her target by visiting her Kickstarter page

The important thing to note is that if the target isn't reached on Monica's Kickstarter page, no one will get to receive her books.
