Witness appeal after fatal crash near Boroughbridge

Police are appealing for information after a fatal crash on the A168 near Boroughbridge.

It happened in a lay-by at Stump Cross shortly before 5.30am and involved a lorry and a black Skoda Fabia.

The driver of the Skoda, a 38-year-old man from the Cleveland area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw either of the vehicles beforehand, is asked to call 101 and ask to speak to the Major Collision Investigation Team or e-mail MCIT@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
