Skipton lights switch-on has finally arrived!

Today is the day the town can truly start to get into the festive spirit.

The lights switch-on is being held in Craven Court as well as along Otley Street.

The event starts at 3.30pm.

There'll be lots of entertainment for the kids, with Waddington's Fun Fair joining the event.

Billy's pancakes, the Horsebox pizza and the Coffee Mill & Bean Loved will be making another appearance as well!

Let's not forget, Stray FM's Nick Hancock is hosting the event alongside appearances from local singer Niamh and choirs from Water Street Community Primary School and Threshfield Primary School.

Skipton Brass will be entertaining the public from 5:45pm, with the official switch-on happening at 6pm.

There's been a build-up of excitement prior to today...
