It has officially been a white Christmas in the UK for some, with areas of Cumbria, higher ground in the Yorkshire Dales and the south of Scotland recording light snowfall.

The Met Office confirmed the snowfall in Spadeadam, Cumbria, at about 10pm last night.

And Thomas Beresford, a snow plough driver and coach mechanic, who is often on patrol between Ingleton and Hawes, tweeted this video last night.

It's 1300 feet above sea level on the border between North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
