Nominations have opened for this year's Otley Business Awards and organisers are promising another star-studded event.

In association with Otley Chamber of Trade, the ceremony will be held at Otley Courthouse on 23 March and will celebrate the town's wide range of independent businesses.

Jason Richards (pictured), owner of Yorkshire Trike Tours and Business Man of the Year at the 2017 Yorkshire Choice Awards, has been lined up as this year's Motivational Speaker.

Tom Hatley, of Otley Chamber of Trade and owner of local business Christopher Little & Co, said: "Jason and his wife Judith offer a uniquely exhilarating way to experience the Yorkshire Dales in their finest chauffeur-driven 'Billy Connolly' style motor trikes; Chloe, Lottie and Mollie. We can't wait to hear all about their travels and how Jason achieved his recent Yorkshire Businessman accolade.

"We are again delighted to have the support of some great local businesses who have agreed to sponsor this year's event."

The main sponsors are Otley Chamber of Trade, Otley BID and Otley Town Council, and Stray FM is supporting the event as media sponsor.

The award categories and sponsors are:

  • Best Café - Bondgate Bakery
  • Best Retail - The Yorkshire Marketing Company
  • Best Newcomer - Arundel Travel
  • Best Service Sector - Stew & Oyster
  • Best Small Business - Hollins Crowe & Storr
