New Year could mean new contacts for Wetherby businesses

#WetherbyHour LIVE

12:25pm 8th January 2018

Businesses in Wetherby are being encouraged to make new contacts in the New Year.

For the last few years, a monthly networking event called #wetherbyhour LIVE has brought together small independent businesses to give them a bigger local voice.

It's already brought in extra work for many businesses and organiser Jo Maltby is hoping that even more can benefit in 2018.

She said: "Our networking has been so effective for so many businesses over the last three years, but we are seeing more and more SMEs unable to join in, as they struggle to meet a more defined work/life balance.

"We want all business owners to benefit and that's why we are switching things up a little in 2018, with evening and daytime free networking events."

Adam Franks, from Wetherby business Franks Accountants, added: "Highly recommended for bringing businesses together and generating referrals. This has been really good for my business, but shhh, it's our secret."

The group will be visiting local businesses, as well as venues throughout Wetherby, showcasing not only the business opportunities out there, but the hidden gems of the town.
