Harrogate hairdressers' call to help the homeless

Harrogate hairdressers' call to help the homeless

Published by The Stray FM News Team at 1:00am 20th February 2018.

A Harrogate hair aalon has come up with a plan to help Harrogate's homeless.

BeBaBo is a hairdressers located inside The White Hart Hotel in Harrogate's prestigious Montpellier Quarter, which has launched a Product Amnesty.

Customers have been invited to bring in half used bottles of shampoo, conditioner and styling products that they no longer need which they can then exchange - like for like - for 25% off hair products sold at BeBaBo.

All products donated via the Product Amnesty will be donated to Harrogate Homeless Project, an organisation providing support, shelter and strategies to homeless people in the Harrogate Area.

Faye Cawood, Senior Stylist and Kerastase Specialist at BeBaBo says:

"We've all got products hanging round our bathrooms that we don't use - perhaps a bottle of shampoo that didn't suit our hair type or a conditioner that was too moisturising or not moisturising enough.

'We're aware that there are people out there who could gain some benefit from the things that we don't need and so we decided to help. We hope that what we've come up with is a win win situation: people tidy up their bathrooms, get a discount off Kerastase shampoos and conditioners and get to help people into the bargain."

Anyone is welcome to join in BeBaBo's product amnesty, which will be running until the end of February.
