Air ambulance called to A65 collision

RTC A65 Long Preston caused road closure

There's been a two vehicle crash on the A65.

North Yorkshire Police  responded to the two vehicle collision on the A65 Settle, at 11.50am today (21st February, 2018).

It involved a red Ford KA and a white Mercedes-Benz van.  

The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman was extracted from her vehicle by the Fire and Rescue service and taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the van, a 52-year-old man, was taken to Airedale Hospital to be checked over.

The road was closed whilst emergency services and the Highways Agency responded to the incident.

The road was closed for several hours.

It has now been reopened. 

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either of the vehicles in the area prior to the collision or was travelling in the vicinity and has any dash-cam footage of the vehicles to contact them.
