1 in 5 people in Knaresborough respond to MP's market survey

Knaresborough Market

2:10pm 6th March 2018

Almost 2,500 people have responded to a survey about the future of Knaresborough Market.

Commissioned by the town's MP Andrew Jones, the figure equates to nearly one in five of the town's population.

The survey follows recent attempts to revitalise the institution that's been in the town for over 700 years.

Speaking in his monthly MP's Diary on Stray FM, Andrew Jones said:

"I want to see the market thrive.

"It's part of the identity and the economy of Knaresborough.

"So our question is, how do we make it thrive?

"The data we've collected in this survey will inform that decision."

The MP says he'll now forward his findings to Harrogate Borough Council for their consideration.
