Award nomination for Boroughbridge farm shop

A Boroughbridge farm shop has been shortlisted in a prestigious national awards.

FINK, fine foods specialist in Boroughbridge, was nominated in the Village Shop/Local Store of the Year category for the Farm Shop & Deli Awards 2018.

Hugh Fink, owner of FINK, said:

"We are delighted to have been shortlisted for Village Shop/Local Store of the Year," says 

"The awards celebrate the best of the specialist independent retail sector and we are very proud to be a finalist."

The awards continue to commend retailers' success in speciality sectors and regions respectively, with category awards up for grabs across 13 different specialisms.

The judging panel included Chair of Judges Nigel Barden, Co Chair of Judges Elaine Lemm, Holly Shackleton, Editor of Speciality Food and John Gill, Head of Commercial Operations & Buyer at Booths.

The winners will be revealed live at the Farm Shop & Deli Show, 3.30pm on Monday 16th April 2018 at the NEC.

Nigel Barden, Chair of judges, commented:

"It's gratifying to see lots of new names amongst the finalists as the Awards are becoming even more respected.

"The food & drink retail sector continues to attract inventive, hardworking entrepreneurs, many of whom have transferred their business skills from other industries."
