After a glittering ceremony at Rudding Park, the winners of the 2018 Local Hero Awards have been crowned.

It was a night full of emotion, with not a dry eye in the house, but the sheer joy of sharing the stories of the amazing people of Harrogate, Craven & Wharfedale.

Hosted by Nick Hancock & Will Smith, Stray FM's Local Hero Awards with Lights4Fun & CNG, reached its biggest ever audience, both in the marquee and across the World through its first ever social media live stream.

Stray FM's Managing Director, Sarah Barry said:

"It is always a real privilege to organise Stray FM's Local Hero Awards and this year’s was easily one of the best yet.

"The job of the judges this year was incredibly tough with our highest ever number of nominations, and all at a really high standard. We're incredibly proud of everyone who was shortlisted and I know that the nominees will have had a fantastic night."
