Police charge a Ripon man with attempting to cause or incite a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity

  • Police have charged a man in his forties in Ripon after information was passed on to the police.
  • The man was arrested on Sunday (10 February) on suspicion of causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
  • He is due in court today.

A Ripon man has been charged with attempting to cause/incite a female child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

The man, aged in his forties, was arrested in Ripon on the night of Sunday 10 February 2019 after information was passed on to the police.

He was remanded in custody to appear at York Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 12 February 2019).
