UPDATE: There are now four flood warnings still in place across Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale

 

Flood warnings:

  • Collingham Beck at Collingham
  • River Nidd at Knaresborough Caravan Parks
  • Earby Beck at Earby - Craven 


Flood alert:

  • Earby Beck and Glusburn Beck - Craven
  • Upper River Aire - Skipton, Craven
  • Upper River Nidd - near Ripley
  • Lower River Ure - near Ripon
  • Lower River Wharfe - between Huby and Weeton
  • Lower River Nidd - near Kirk Hammerto

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue tweeted some of what they've been dealing with

Heavy rain is causing problems across Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale.

A number of flood warnings and alerts have been issued for a number of areas.

They are listed as below:

Flood warnings:

  • River Wharfe at Addingham
  • River Wharfe at Billams Hill and riverside properties between Otley and Pool
  • River Wharfe at Harewood Bridge
  • Collingham Beck at Collingham
  • River Nidd at Knaresborough Caravan Parks
  • River Nidd at Hunsingore and Cattal
  • Colne Water at Lenches  - Craven
  • Earby Beck at Earby - Craven
  • Broughton Beck at Elslack and Broughton Business Park - Craven
  • River Wharfe at Bolton Bridge
  • River Wharfe at Denton Road - Ilkley

Flood alert:

  • Earby Beck and Glusburn Beck - Craven
  • Upper River Aire - Skipton, Craven
  • Upper River Nidd - near Ripley
  • Lower River Ure - near Ripon
  • Lower River Wharfe - between Huby and Weeton
  • Lower River Nidd - near Kirk Hammerton

On Sunday morning police tweeted

Fire crews were called out to help rescue people stuck in cars caught up in flood waters in Grassington:
