IMAGES - round up of localised flooding across Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale

  • Dozens of flood warnins were in place over the weekend.
  • It follows heavy rain from Storm Gareth and Storm Hannah earlier in the week.
  • Roads under water, drivers stranded and sheep trapped in rising waters.

Many parts of North Yorkshire faced flooding over the weekend following heavy rain.

Water levels peak on the rivers Wharfe, Aire, Ouse, Nidd, Swale and Ure.

On Saturday (16 March), many roads were closed due to rising water with firefighters having to rescue people from stranded cars caught up in the deluge.
