Man exposes himself and then makes racial slurs to Morrison's staff member

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a racially-aggravated incident that occurred in Cross Hills.

  • A man exposed himself and made racial comments to a member of staff in Morrison's petrol station in Crosshills at around 10pm on Saturday 10 March
  • The suspect was arrested later that evening and has now been released under investigation
  • Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward

It happened at Morrison’s Petrol Station (Snax24), on Station Road, in Cross Hills at about 10pm on Saturday 16 March.

A man entered the store and exposed himself to staff before making racial comments toward the same member of staff.

Police say an arrest was made that evening and the suspect has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The force is now requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, officers are appealing for information from those who may have been in the store at the time and witnessed the incident.
