UPDATE: Two boys from Leeds arrested after Harrogate assaults

  • Two boys arrested yesterday evening
  • The two boys assaulted are in a stable condition in hospital 

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Ellis, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “I understand this incident may cause some concern in the local community. However, at this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

“Local officers will be in Harrogate today, as enquiries continue, and to provide reassurance to the public.”

Anyone who witnessed the assault, or has any information about it, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Harrogate CID, quoting reference NYP-13042019-0299.

UPDATE: Two boys assaulted in Harrogate

  • There are reports two boys have been assaulted in Harrogate.
  • It's thought it's happened at Valley Gardens earlier today.
  • A cordon is currently in place.

Two teenage boys have reportedly been assaulted in Harrogate.

Police were called to reports of an assault on two teenage boys in Valley Gardens at around 3.30pm.

Both boys have been taken to hospital for treatment.

A cordon is in place and officers remain at the scene as enquiries into the incident continue.

Anyone who witnessed the assault, or has any information about it, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and quote reference NYP-13042019-0299.
