  • Full training provided.

A group in Craven are looking for volunteers to support adults with basic computer skills.

'The Neighbourhood Project' is setting up groups in a number of areas - including Skipton, Settle and Ingleton.

Full training will be provided and travel expenses reimbursed.

It comes as many everyday things rely more and more on us using the internet - from paying gas and electric bills, checking bank accounts and ordering shopping.

Jonathan Crewdson is from the group:

"There is a lot older people that don't have access to the internet at home, don't own any form of computer, or if they do they don't have the confidence or know how to use them to access things."

And that's what 'The Neighbourhood Project' wants to change.

Jonathan added:

"We're not looking for experts to volunteer, we're looking for people who have a basic knowledge of how to use a computer and how to navigate the internet.

"Based on my experience in the past people who want help with this sort of scheme are not looking for anything advanced."

If you're interested in finding out more contact Jonathan on 07941 385306 or email mail@neighbourhoodproject.org.uk
