Saint Michael's opens first store in Boroughbridge

  • Saint Michael's hospice is opening a store in Boroughbridge.
  • It'll be the first time the hospice will be present in the town.
  • The store can be found at 38 High Street.

A local hospice care charity store will welcome shoppers in a brand new location in the historic town of Boroughbridge.

Saint Michael’s, the independent local charity supporting families affected by terminal illness across the Harrogate district, will open the doors tomorrow (Thursday, 16 May).

The store can be found at 38 High Street, Boroughbridge, bringing high quality goods to local people while raising vital funds.  

The new premises stocks nearly-new high street, vintage and designer label clothing, along with a variety of shoes and accessories, as well as antiques, homeware, toys, and books.

Tony Collins, chief executive of Saint Michael’s, said:

“Our care extends right across the Harrogate district, and sees us reaching out to people in their place of choice as we grow our vital HOME service.

“We’re excited to offer the community of Boroughbridge a rewarding shopping experience where funds raised make a real difference locally.

“Saint Michael’s stores are known for their high-quality, preloved items, welcoming environments and friendly volunteers and staff. What’s more, our shops raise more than £1million each year – an amazing reflection of their place at the heart of the communities they serve.”

The store is looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help the tills ring in vital funds.
