Boy who fell from Lightwater Valley rollercoaster discharged from hospital

The 7 year old who fell from the rollercoaster at Lightwater Valley near Ripon has  been discharged from hospital.

The air ambulance were called out last month after he fell from the Twister rollercoaster. He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where the next day they declared him in a "critical condition".

The Health and Safety Executive, which is investigating the incident, said the 7-year-old is "out of hospital and recovering at home."

Lightwater Valley say the Twister ride remains closed.
