Who's to get the FIRST space on Harrogate Monopoly?

Who's to get the FIRST space on Harrogate Monopoly?

Published by May Norman at 1:42pm 12th July 2019.

First Harrogate Monopoly 'resident' to be revealed next week

  • The first space on Harrogate's very own Monopoly board will be announced next week.
  • It'll be a leading charity which will get to star on a Community Chest space of its own when the game is unveiled in October.
  • More than 30 town landmarks and organisations will star on the board in place of the classic streets like Mayfair and Oxford Street.

Next week the very first space to be revealed as ‘Passing GO’ on the brand new Harrogate MONOPOLY Edition game will be announced.

It will be a “leading” Harrogate charity, which will get to star on a Community Chest space all of its own when the game is unveiled in October.

And because there is no price tag on the Monopoly Community Chest spaces then it means the charity will be as priceless in the new Harrogate MONOPOLY game as in real life!

Several charities will get to ‘Pass GO’ following a public vote. In all more than 30 town landmarks and organisations will star in the game in place of the classic original MONOPOLY streets like Mayfair, Park Lane and Oxford Street.

Jake Houghton, Custom Games Executive at Winning Moves UK, makers of the new unique edition under license from Hasbro.

"The game will feature the great and the good of Harrogate."

"Next week we shall be announcing the very first ‘resident’ to take up occupancy in this very special unique edition. It is a leading Harrogate charity. Several charities in all will be starring in the game, following a hugely popular – and record, as reported - public vote. A very big thank you to everyone who voted."
