Leeds Bradford Airport will be hitting our TV screens tonight - a new documentary series will begin on ITV.

It's called 'Yorkshire Airport' and was filmed throughout Summer 2018.

The airport is set to grow over the next decade - a recent Department of Transport report said it could have 7 million passengers coming through it every year by 2030.

What can you expect from episode 1? ITV says:

"We kick off the series with Operations Manager Jamie dealing with a plane making an emergency landing at Leeds Bradford after its cockpit warning alarm shows the plane door is still open, Terminal Manager Nathan handling a potential disaster with a blocked international arrivals door, and we discover if check-in supervisor Chloe can keep control of a plane-load of frustrated passengers bound for Ibiza during, what for some becomes a booze-fuelled 6 hour delay.

"All the Yorkshire Airport staff share the same ambition this summer - to keep the passengers happy, the planes flying, and to make sure Leeds Bradford is well on its way to becoming the number one airport in the North - and there’s ‘nowt’ wrong with that."

Yorkshire Airport begins at 8.30pm on ITV.
