Warning over heavy rain

  • A warning of heavy rain's been issued for Craven and Wharfedale.
  • The Met Office predicts downpours on Friday - from midnight to 6pm.
  • Forecasters claim the yellow weather warning isn't in place for Harrogate, Ripon and Wetherby - but are saying, rain is expected.

Forecasters are predicting heavy rain across Craven and Wharfedale at the end of the week.

The Met Office has issue a yellow weather warning for Friday (11 October, 2019).

It's in place from midnight to 6pm.

Though Harrogate, Ripon and Wetherby are not included in that - we are told wet weather is on its way.

 

 

The Met Office claims:

Heavy rainfall may bring some localised flooding across parts of Wales, central and northern England on Friday.


What to expect

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
