Children plant poppies in Knaresborough

School children have planted poppies they made in the Castle Yard in Knaresborough to create a field of poppies.

  • This has been produced to mark Armistice Day.
  • Many children made and placed the poppies.
  • Brenda Pitchfork organised the event.

Knitted and crocheted poppies have been placed in the Castle Yard.

The local children took part and 'planted' the poppies making for some beautiful images, while also paying their respects to those who lost their lives fighting for their country.
