North Yorkshire Police officer charged over crash in Harrogate

A North Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with dangerous driving following a crash in Harrogate, which left two women seriously injured.

  • Detective constable Quita Passmore is due in court next month.
  • It's after an investigation by the police watchdog and the CPS.
  • Two women were seriously injured in the crash on Otley Road in May 2018.  

Detective constable Quita Passmore is due in court next month, following an investigation by the police watchdog and the CPS.

The 37 year-old was also hurt in the collision on 5th May last year, as she responded to a 999 call in an unmarked vehicle.

It happened on Otley Road in Harrogate.  

She was responding to an emergency call when it is alleged her car collided with another vehicle, seriously injuring two women. 

Quita Passmore is due before Leeds Magistrates Court on 18th December.
