John Barrowman cancels opening dates for new show following an injury but its still not clear if the Harrogate show will be affected

  • He was forced to cancel opening dates of his Fabulous Christmas tour.
  • Barrowman is due at the Harrogate Convention Centre on Friday but it's unclear if that show will go-ahead.

It's still not clear if John Barrowman will perform in Harrogate on Friday (6 December).

He is due at Harrogate Convention Centre as part of this Fabulous Christmas show tour.

It's after the singer and actor was rushed to hospital with a severe neck injury at the weekend.

The singer and actor tweeted he was "devastated" by the injury which he said "had made it impossible for me to sing and move".

The 52-year-old said he had been advised by doctors to cancel the start of his Fabulous Christmas show tour.

He took to Twitter to say:

"I am so disappointed and upset as I was looking forward to seeing you all, I feel I am letting everyone down, but it's simply not possible for me to do the show in my current condition."

The Doctor Who and Torchwood star cancelled his appearances at Bristol Hippodrome on Saturday night and at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow on Sunday.

But it's still not clear if the Harrogate show will be cancelled.
