It happened in Scotland - so not local to us - but how heartbreaking.

Apparently, the building had stood for more than 200 years.

Repairs may be needed but at what cost?

The water has receded but in its wake, leaving visible damage:

Wreaking havoc on our beautiful tourist attractions

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal also took a battering yesterday.

The National Trust attraction was closed as a precaution during Storm Ciara.

Today, it's open - but only in parts.
