Heavy rain causes further flooding in Yorkshire

Another night of heavy rain has led to areas being flooded.

  • Rain has fallen on already saturated land, leading to further flooding.
  • Areas including Ilkley, Skipton and Craven have been affected.

There has been further flooding for some of our areas.

This is the third weekend in a row where bad weather has led to problems for residents in Yorkshire.

One of the areas that has had a warning in place was River Wharfe at Denton Road Ilkley, with further rain causing problems.

Flood warnings in place now are for:

Kettlewell Beck at Kettlewell
River Aire at Gargrave
River Wharfe at Addingham
River Wharfe at Billams Hill and riverside properties between Otley and Pool
River Wharfe at Bolton Bridge
River Wharfe at Burnsall
River Wharfe at Castley Lane
River Wharfe at Denton Road Ilkley
River Wharfe at Harewood Bridge

Earby Beck at Earby
Kettlewell Beck at Kettlewell
River Aire at Gargrave

While there are flood alerts at:

Lower River Ure
Lower River Wharfe
Upper River Nidd

It will be another busy weekend for the emergency services who are dealing with a number of reported incidents caused by the weather.
