Another weather warning has been issued for Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale 

  • A yellow warning for ice is in place from 8pm tonight 
  • It follows a morning of snow
  • Clear spells in between snow and rain could lead to frost and icy surfaces

A yellow warning for ice is in place from 8pm tonight until 10am tomorrow morning. 

If follows warnings of rain and snow, with snow showers causing chaos in Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale this morning.

What to expect

  • Some roads and railways affected, leading to longer journey times by car, bus and train
  • Increased chance of injuries and accidents on icy pavements and cycle paths

The Met Office says many areas will be affected by occasional showers of rain, hail, sleet and snow, with clear spells in between leading to frost and icy surfaces.
